Given, 6 : $x$ :: 25 : 75 are in proportion

When the numbers are in proportion , product of means = product of extremes

Hence $x \times 25$ = $6 \times 75$

$\Rightarrow x = \frac{6 \times 75}{25}$

$\Rightarrow x = 18$
