The roots of the equation are in the ratio 2 : 3. Take the roots as 2α and 3α.

2α + 3α = 56

⇒ 5α = 56

α = 16

2α × 3α = k6

6 × α2 = k6

⇒ k = 36 × α2

= 36 × (16)2

= 1
