if the sum of two numbers is divided by 13, the quotient is 4 and the remainder 8. if the difference of the same numbers is divided by 4, the quotient is 3 and the remainder 2. find the numbers.

Dividend=(divisor× quotient)+remainder
Let the two no. be x and y
(x+y)=(13×4)+8=60
(xy)=(4×3)+2=14
Solving above two equations we get,
x=37 and y=23
Hence two no. are 37 and 23.
