Let x and y be the two numbers such that x>y.
We know that,
Dividend = Divisor × Quotient + Remainder
Now, according to the question,
x+y=15×2+10
⇒x+y=40.....(1)
Also,
x−y=3×4+2
⇒x−y=14.....(2)
Adding equation (1)&(2), we have
(x+y)+(x−y)=40+14
⇒2x=54
⇒x=542=27
