Sum of n terms of A.P. is pn+qn2 i.e. Sn=pn+qn2
For n=1;S1=a1=p+q
For n=2;S2=a1+a2=2p+4q
a2=S2S1=2p+4q(pq)
a2=p+3q

Now, common difference =a2a1=p+3q(p+q)=2q

Final answer: Hence, common difference is 2q.
