Question

if the volume of an ice is 8 then what will be the volume of water and water vapour ?

Open in App
Solution

1. Water and ice both exist at 0 degree Celsius so both have same volume that is 8.
2. For every unit of degree Celsius there is an increase of 1273.
3. So for water to turn into water vapours it should be boiling at 100 degrees Celsius.
4. So volume of water vapour will be 8 + 800273=8 + 2.930 = 10.930
