If the wage of 45 women amounts to 15525 in 48 days, how many men must work for 16 days to receive 5750, the daily wage of a man being double that of a woman?

Calculate the number of men to receive the amount.

As we know that, If M1 person can do W1 works in D1 days and M2 work in D2 days, then we have,

M1×D1×W2=M2×D2×W1

It is given that, the wage of 45 women amounts to 15525 in 48 days.

It is required to find the number of men to receive 5750.

We will find the number of required men by using the Time and Work formula is,

M1×D1×E1×W2=M2×D2×E2×W1

Where, E is efficiency or wages and W is the work or amount.

According to the question,

M1=45

D1=48

E1=1

W1=15525

D2=16

E2=2

W2=5750

M2=?

Put all the values in the formula for Time and Work.

45×48×1×5750=M2×16×2×15525

12420000=M2×496800

M2=12420000496800

M2=25

Therefore, 25 men are required to work for 16 days to receive 5750.
