Question

If there is no fertilisation then will ovum be released or only secondary oocyte will be released?? If only secondary oocyte would be released then why??

Solution

fertilization does not occur, then the ovum simply degenerates. The secondary oocyte will be released from the ovary during ovulation without yet becoming an ovum!
