Mitosis:
Mitosisis a type of cell division in which a single cell divides into two identical daughter cells.
It is also known as equational cell division because after division, daughter cells will have the same number of chromosomes as that of the parent cells.
Therefore, if the parent cell has 23 pairs of chromosomes then two daughter cells will also have 23 pairs of chromosomes and the same amount of DNA.
