Consider two balls of mass $m_{1}$ and $m_{2}$ . And their initial velocities before collision are $u_{1}$ and $u_{2}$ , and after collision $v_{1}$ and $v_{2}$ .
If the masses are equal that is $m_{1} = m_{2}$ , then the ball collides elastically, and after the collision, their velocities get interchanged that is $v_{1} = u_{2}$ and $v_{2} = u_{1}$
