Question

If two identical shapes undergo elastic collision, then the velocities of the object gets ……. after collision.

Solution

  1. Consider two balls of mass m1 andm2 . And their initial velocities before collision are u1and u2 , and after collision v1 and v2.
  2. If the masses are equal that is m1=m2, then the ball collides elastically, and after the collision, their velocities get interchanged that is v1=u2 and v2=u1

Hence, If two identical shapes undergo elastic collision, then the velocities of the object get Interchanged after the collision.
