Since velocity at A and B,
Along AB should be equal = $V_{A}$ = $V_{B}$ ,
now let us conserve momentum
$∴ m (0) + m u cos B = m V_{A} + m V_{A} m u cos B = m V_{A} \frac{V_{A}}{u} = \frac{cos θ}{3} = \sqrt{\frac{3}{4}}$
