$\Rightarrow a-b=2$............(1)

$\Rightarrow a+b=4$............(2)

Adding eq1 and eq2

$\Rightarrow 2a=6$

$\Rightarrow a=\frac{6}{2}=3$

Substitute the value of a in eq1

$\Rightarrow 3-b=2$

$\Rightarrow -b=2-3$

$\Rightarrow b=1$

Hence the value of $a=3$ and $b=1$
