x+y=30
Put the value of x from (1)
144y+y=30
144+y2y=30
144+y2=30y
y230y+144=0
y224y6y+144=0
y(y24)6(y24)=0
(y24)(y6)=0
y=24,6
AS x>y, so y=6
Put the value of y in (1), we get
x=1446=24
xy=246=18
