(ii) 6x + 5y = 7x + 3y + 1 = 2x + 12y − 2

Open in App
Solution

6x+5y=7x+3y+1=2x+12y-2We have 6x+5y=7x+3y+1 -x+2y=1 x=2y-1 ...(i) Also, 6x+5y=2x+12y-24x-7y=-2 ...(ii) Substituting eq. (i) in (ii), we get :4×2y-1-7y=-28y-4-7y=-2 y=2Substituting y=2 in eq (i), we get : x=2×2-1x=3Hence, x=3 , y=2 is the solution of the given equations.
