Question 2 (ii)
Find the capacity in litres of a conical vessel with:
(ii) height 12 cm, slant height 12 cm.
[Assume π=227]

Open in App
Solution

(ii) Height (h) of the cone = 12 cm
Slant height (l) of the cone= 13 cm
Radius (r) of cone =l2r2
=(132122) cm
=5 cm
Volume of the cone =13πr2h
=[13×227×(5)2×12]cm3
=(4×227×25) cm3
=(22007) cm3
Therefore, capacity of the conical vessel
=22007000 litres (1 litre=1000 cm3)=1135 litres
