If $A = 3 x^{2} - 4 x + 1, B = 5 x^{2} + 3 x - 8$ and $C = 4 x^{2} - 7 x + 3$ , then find

A + B + C

Solution

Given, $A = 3 x^{2} - 4 x + 1, B = 5 x^{2} + 3 x - 8$ and $C = 4 x^{2} - 7 x + 3$
A + B + C
$= 3 x^{2} - 4 x + 1 + 5 x^{2} + 3 x - 8 + 4 x^{2} - 7 x + 3$
On combining the like terms,
$= 3 x^{2} + 5 x^{2} + 4 x^{2} - 4 x + 3 x - 7 x + 1 - 8 + 3 = 12 x^{2} - 8 x - 4$
