Given:

$\frac{1}{3}+[\frac{4}{9}+\left(\frac{-4}{3}\right)]=[\frac{1}{3}+\frac{4}{9}]+\left[\frac{-4}{3}\right]$

In LHS, second and third terms made the group and in RHS first and second terms are made in group and which are under the operation addition.

This property is called an Associative property over addition.

i.e., the associative property of addition is a rule that states that while adding three numbers, we can group them in any order or combination, the sum that we get remains the same irrespective of the manner in which they are grouped.

Hence, it is an Associative property over addition.
