Solution

Step1:- Given data

Number of cells N=30

The number of cells with the wrong polarity is n=3

Step2:- Finding the number of effective cells.

The number of ineffective cells is, 2n=2×3=6

Now, Thenumberofeffectivecells=TotalNumberofcells-Numberofineffectivecells.

Number of effective cells=30-6

=24

Hence, 24 cells are effective.
