Step 1 : Finding number of students who do not like any game.
Given, total number of students = $42$ , No. of students liking cricket = $12$
No. of students liking basketball = $9$ , No. of students liking tennis = $6$
Number of students who do not like any game
$= 42 - (12 + 9 + 6) = 42 - 27 = 15$
Step 2 : Finding the ratio of the number of students who do not like any game to the number of students who like basketball.
$\begin{array}{rcl} R a t i o & = & \frac{15}{9} \\ = & \frac{5}{3} \\ = & 5 : 3 \end{array}$
Hence, the ratio of the number of students who do not like any game to the number of students who like basketball is $5 : 3$ .
