In a class of 42 students, 12 like cricket, 9 like basketball, 6 like tennis and the remaining do not like any game. Find the ratio of the number of students who do not like any game to the number of students who like basketball.

Step 1 : Finding number of students who do not like any game.

Given, total number of students = 42, No. of students liking cricket = 12

No. of students liking basketball = 9, No. of students liking tennis = 6

Number of students who do not like any game

=42-(12+9+6)=42-27=15

Step 2 : Finding the ratio of the number of students who do not like any game to the number of students who like basketball.

Ratio=159=53=5:3

Hence, the ratio of the number of students who do not like any game to the number of students who like basketball is 5:3.
