The correct option is C $0.04$ mA
We know emitter current $I_{E} = I_{C} + I_{B}$ -----(1) where $I_{C}$ =connector current and $I_{B}$ = base current
Also we know $α = \frac{I_{C}}{I_{E}}$
$I_{C} = α I_{E}$ -------(A)
Putting the value of 1 in A we get,
$I_{B} = I_{E} - α I_{E}$
$I_{B} = 2 - 1.96 = 0.04 m A$
