Total marks obtained by Jason = 270
Jason scored 60% of the total marks in mathematics.
Therefore,
Marks obtained by Jason in mathematics = 270 of 60%
= 270×60100
= 27×6
= 162

Therefore, he obtained 162 in mathematics.

Total marks he obtained in physics and chemistry combined
= Total marks – Marks he obtained in mathematics
= 270 – 162
= 108
