In a garden one day Aman observed that her rose garden had one flower. On the second day she observed that there were 3 flowers. On the third she saw 9 flowers and on the fourth day she saw 27 flowers. If this pattern continues how many flowers will be there on the 20th day? Express the answer un exponential form

One first day, number of flower is 1=30On second day, the number of flowers=3=31On third day, the number of flowers=9=32On fourth day, the number of flowers=27=33The number of flowers forms a pattern: 30, 31, 32, 33, Following the above pattern, the number of flowers at nth day is 3n-1.Thus, the number of flowers on the 20th day=320-1=319
