In a garden there are some flowers and some bees. If one bee sat on each flower, 6 bees are left. If 2 bees sat on each flower, then 5 flowers are left. How many bees and flowers are there in the garden?

Let the number of flowers = xThen the number of bees = x + 6If the number of bees sitting on each flower is 2, then number of flowers = x+62 + 5Now, according to question, x = x+62 + 5x-51 = x+622x - 5 = x + 62x - 10 = x + 62x - x = 6 + 10x = 16So, number of flowers = x = 16Number of bees = x + 6 = 16 + 6 = 22
