Power consumed by 5 room heaters = 5 x 1000 W = 5 kW
Since, they are being operated for 4 hours per day,
Energy consumed by 5 room heaters per day= 5 × 4 = 20 kWh
Energy consumed by 5 room heaters in 30 days = 20 x 30 = 600 kWh = 600 units of electricity
Cost of 600 units of electricity = ₹ 6000
Cost of one unit of electricity
= $\frac{6000}{600}$ = ₹ 10
