The correct option is A 50 cm

Here in meter bridge experiment length of wire l(say) is 100cm. Hence

l2=(100l1)cm

where l1 is the length of wire from one end upto null point, l2 is the length of wire from null point to another end of wire.

Hence, in the first case,

xy=l1l2

xy=2080

Now, in the second case

4xy=l1l2

4xy=l1(100l1)

4(2080)=l1100l1

l1=50cm
