In a nucleus, the number of ribonucleoside triphosphates is 10 times the number of deoxyribonucleoside triphosphates, but only deoxyribonucleotides are added during the DNA replication. Suggest a mechanism.

DNA dependent DNA polymerase:

DNA dependent DNA polymerase cannot bind to the ribonucleotides, because it cannot accommodate the 2’- OH of the ribose sugar in the active site. So it adds only deoxyribonucleotides and are specific to dNTPs.
