Question

In a parallelogram ABCD, If A=(3x+12), B=(2x32) then find the value of x and then find the measures of C and D.

Open in App
Solution

A=(3x+12)o

B=(2x32)o

Now sum of adjacent angles of a parallelogram is 180o.

A+B=180o

3x+12+2x32=180

5x20=180

5x=200

x=40

So
A=(3(40)+12)o=132o

B=(2(40)32)o=48o

Now opposite angles in a parallelogram are equal

A=C and B=D

C=132o and D=48o.
