The correct option is D $100 V$
Given : $V_{C} = 120 V$ $V_{L} = 40 V$ $V_{R} = 60 V$

$V_{C} - V_{L} = 120 - 40 = 80 V$

Source voltage, $V_{o} = \sqrt{V_{R}^{2} + (V_{C} - V_{L})^{2}}$

$∴$ $V_{o} = \sqrt{(60)^{2} + (80)^{2}} = 100 V$
