Recruitment means informing public about job vacancy by way of advertisements, etc. and inducing the prospective candidates to apply for the same. It is a positive process, as it aims to create a pool of qualified candidates for the job, so that the most eligible employee can be selected. It brings employer and applicants together. Recruitment can be done from internal or external sources.
Internal sources include Promotion and transfer while external sources include advertisements, contractors, employment exchanges, etc.
