Erms=V2R+V2L=402+302=50 V

Also,

VR=IrmsRR=VRIrms=405=8 Ω

and,

Z=R2+X2L=82+62=10 Ω

Therefore, average power utilized,

Pavg=ErmsIrmscosϕ
