In an arc of a circle subtends an angle of 45o at the centre and if the area of minor sector is 77 cm2, then find the radius of the circle (in cm).

Area of minor sector, A=77 cm2
Angle subtended by sector, θ=45o
To find: Radius r
Area of minor sector subtending angle of θo at center of a circle of radius r is given by A=θ360×πr2
Substituting values, we get:
77=45360×πr2
r77×36045×22/7π22/7
r=14 cm
