Heterogenous nuclear RNA is the original product of transcription which is much larger than the mature mRNA due to the presence of noncoding regions which are then removed during post-transcriptional modification. Option A is correct as split genes consist of exons and introns.
The protein-coding part of the gene is exon while the gene sequences that are present between exons and do not code for any protein product are called introns. Hence, transcription of split genes produces hnRNA as primary transcript.
Options B and C are incorrect as A-DNA and Z-DNA are the two possible helical structures of double helix DNA molecule.
