In Hydra during the first stage the BUD is formed on one side of its body by the repeated MITOTIC DIVISIONS of its cells. Which type of cell are their in Hydra for reproduction and what do we here by the term "mitotic division" ?

Hydra can produce bud from any of the body cells. By the process of mitosis the bud starts growing into a new daughter hydra. A cell divides mitotically means, it results in generally two identical daughter cells, each containing the same number of chromosomes and genetic content as that of the original parent cell.
