In markets, eggs of birds are available but never eggs of dogs. Why?

Viviparous -

  1. Animals that give birth to young ones or offspring are called viviparous.
  2. In viviparous animals, both fertilization as well as the development of the embryo takes place inside the female reproductive system and when the fetus development is complete, the mother delivers the baby.
  3. Examples :- Humans, dogs, cats, elephants etc.
  4. Dogs belongs to viviparous which means they doesn't lay eggs but gives birth to young ones (puppies).

Oviparous :-

  1. Animals that produce offspring by laying eggs which are hatched after they have been laid by the parent are called oviparous.
  2. Examples :- Birds, fish, reptiles, insects etc.
  3. Since, birds are oviparous they lay eggs which are available in the market.
