Solution

Answer: 10
Buffer pH = 5.74
pKa (acetic acid) = 4.74
By Henderson-Hasselbalch equation,
pH=pKa+log[sodium acetate][ acetic acid]

5.74=4.75+log[sodium acetate][ acetic acid]

log[sodium acetate][ acetic acid]=5.744.75=0.991

[sodium acetate][ acetic acid]=10

Hence, concentration of Sodium acetate is 10 M
