In summer the urine is slightly thicker than in winter. Explain the reason.
During summer, a considerable part of water is lost through perspiration or sweating. So the water in the ultrafiltrate produced in the glomerulus has to be reabsorbed to prevent further water loss and maintain the osmotic balance. So the tubular part of the nephrons reabsorbs more water from the filtrate or urine. This makes the urine thicker in summer than in winters.
