Solution

The correct option is D Na2O=3.6%, K2O=10.6%
Let the amount of sodium chloride be a g.
The amount of potassium chloride is (0.1180a) g.
NaCl+AgNO3AgCl+NaNO3
NaClAgNO3

The mass of AgNO3 formed =a58.5×143.5

KCl+AgNO3AgCl+KNO3
KClAgNO3

The mass of AgNO3 formed =(0.1180a)58.5×143.5

[a58.5×143.5]+[(0.1180a)74.5×143.5]=0.2451

On solving, we get a=0.0338 (mass of NaCl)
Na2O2NaCl

WNaO62=0.00382×58.5 WNa2O=0.0179 g

Percentage of Na2O=0.079×1000.500=3.58%

Mass of KCl =(0.1180a) =(0.11800.0338)=0.0842 g

K2O2 KCl

WK2O94=0.00382×74.5 or WK2O=0.031 g

Percentage of K2O=0.0531×1000.500=10.62%
