given :
solution :in figure 1 the Fe and S are performing oxidation and Mn is performing reduction
so total increase in Oxidation state = 1+8=9.....(1) (Fe went from +2 to +3 , S went from -2 to +8)
so total decrease in Oxidation State =5........(2)
for balancing 1 and 2
we have to multiply (1 )by 5 and (2) by 9
so they are in the ratio of 5:9
hence , the correct opt : D
