Current through 2 ohm is 1 ampere

Thus, from ohm’s law, V = IR, voltage across 2 ohm is

V = 1 × 2 = 2 V

Here the three resistors are connected in parallel

When a number of resistors are connected in parallel, then the potential difference across each resistance is the same.

Thus, current through 1 ohm resistor = 2/1 = 2 A

Current through 4 ohm resistor = 2/4 = 0.5 A
