Consider the problem

Current i divides in two branches and the two are parallel, then the

voltage across them are same

And current divides in i1 and i2

Therefore,

i1×R=i2×2R

i1=2i2 ---- (i)

And

i=i1+i2=1

then, from (i)

i1=23i

Power in R1,P=i2R

And

Power in R2=49i2R=4P9


Hence, option B is the correct answer which is is 4P9
