In the upper loop.
Through 5 V,
VA+2i5=VB, suppose i is the current through the circuit.
VAVB=52i=1
i=512=2A
In the lower loop.
Through 2V,
VA+2iX=VB
iX=VAVB+2
But VAVB=1 volt,i=2 A
X=1+22=1.5Ω
