In the coastal area, the wind current moves from the sea towards the land during the day; but during the night it moves from land to the sea. Discuss the reason.

  1. Wind flow due to pressure difference in areas.
  2. During the daytime because of heat absorbed by the land, a low-pressure area is created.
  3. Due to the evaporation process taking place in the ocean, the ocean is cooler than the land and a high-pressure area is created.
  4. So during the daytime, wind flow from high pressure to the low-pressure area that is from sea to land.
  5. At night the land is cooler than the sea so, wind flow from land to sea.
