To verify the given law:
1. The voltmeter should be connected in parallel to the resistor and ammmeter should be connected in series with the resistor.
2. The +ve terminals of ammeter and voltmeter should be connected to the +ve terminal of the battery. Similarly, -ve terminals of ammeter and voltmeter should be connected to the -ve terminal of the battery.
So, in the (S) diagram, ammeter and voltmeter are correctly connected.
