Solution

The correct option is A P
Equivalent resistance in the circuit =(3+1)=4Ω

By Ohm's law,
10 V=(4 Ω)(i Ampere)
i=2.5 A

Power through a resistance is given by P=I2R
Power through 1Ω,
P1Ω=i2×1=6.25 W
Given, P1Ω=P

When 1Ω is replaced by 9Ω, equivalent resistance =(3+9)=12Ω
By Ohm's law,
10 V=(12 Ω)(i Ampere)
Current i=1012 A

Power dissipated through replaced resistor, P9Ω=(1012)2×9=6.25=P1Ω=P

Option A is correct.
