Area of shaded region = Area of square − Area of 4 semicircle having diameter 4 cm − Area of square having side 4 cm

$$\begin{gathered} ={\left(\mathrm{Side}\right)}^2-4\times \frac{1}{2}\mathrm{\pi }{r}^2-{\left(\mathrm{side}\right)}^2 \\ ={\left(14\right)}^2-2\times 3.14\times {\left(\frac{4}{2}\right)}^2-4^2 \\ =196-25.12-16 \\ =154.88{\mathrm{cm}}^2 \end{gathered}$$
=24.5−14π(AB)2=24.5−14×227(3.5)2=24.5−9.625=14.875 cm2
Hence, the area of shaded region is 154.88 cm²
