Question
In the following food chain, 100 J of energy is available to the lion. How much energy was available to the producer?
Open in App
Solution
There are three trophic levels the producer, the consumer and the secondary consumer according to 10% of energy transfer in trophic level.
If the lion has 100 J of energy then
let's take 10% of x = 100 J , then x = 1000J
Thus the producer had 1000 J of energy.
