In the given figure, congruent parts have been shown by identical signs.

From the figure

(1) write two pairs of congruent sides in □DEFG and □KLMN.
(2) write two pairs of congruent angles.
(3) say, givng reasons, whether the statement: □DEFG ≅ □KLMN is true or false.

Solution

(1) We have the following pairs of congruent sides:
Seg DG ≅ Seg KN, Seg DG ≅ Seg LM
Seg EF ≅ Seg LM, Seg EF ≅ Seg KN
Seg DE ≅ Seg KL, Seg DE ≅ Seg NM
Seg GF ≅ Seg NM, Seg GF ≅ Seg KL
We can choose any two pairs.

(2) We have the following pairs of congruent angles:
∠D ≅ ∠K, ∠D ≅ ∠L, ∠D ≅ ∠M, ∠D ≅ ∠N
∠E ≅ ∠L, ∠E ≅ ∠M, ∠E ≅ ∠N, ∠E ≅ ∠K
∠F ≅ ∠M, ∠F ≅ ∠N, ∠F ≅ ∠K, ∠F ≅ ∠L
∠G ≅ ∠N, ∠G ≅ ∠K, ∠G ≅ ∠L, ∠G ≅ ∠M
We can choose any two pairs.

(3) □DEFG ≅ □KLMN. This statement is true because all the sides and angles of □DEFG are congruent with the all the sides and angles of □KLMN.
