In a parallelogram, a triangle between the same parallels and sharing the same base have area equal to half of that of parallelogram.

So, Area of AED = 12 (Area of ABCD)

Now, AED = 12 (CD) (altitude) = 36 cm2

Therefore, Area of AED = 36 m2
