(a) Area of Africa = 26 sq. units
Area of Europe = 10 sq. units
$Ratio=\frac{AreaofAfrica}{AreaofEurope}$
$=\frac{26}{10}=\frac{13}{5}$ or $13:5$
Hence, area of Africa to Europe is in the ratio 13 : 5.
(b) Area of Australia = 8 sq. units
Area of Asia = 42 sq. units
$Ratio=\frac{AreaofAustralia}{AreaofAsia}$
$=\frac{8}{42}=\frac{4}{21}$ or $4:21$
